1. The world is softer when you are near-sighted. The sharp edges of reality dampen and you stumble forward, each step unsure. If you slip, where would you go? You would hit your fucking face. Sometimes, you need your feet to slip to get a grip. [[All Aboard|Train to Philadelphia]] (link: "Abandon")[(gotourl: "http://ilovesepta.neocities.org/")] The 7:15 am towards Philadelphia is typically late, why don't they just change the timetable? It is the beginning of November, the start of Christmas. The day after halloween, I always feel empty, more than usual. My favorite month is now gone, the pumpkins are being put in the dumpster, candy is still not on sale at CVS, and the train is still late. At least, it hasn't started snowing yet. [[Get on the Late Train|Tickets]] [[Go Home|Home]]“Ticket and passes please.” The conductor squeezes pass the riders which are packed ass to ass on this train. Even when the train is as crowded as it is now, assholes in suits sit in a three seater as if it was two. There is a special place in hell for people like that and for people who talk on the quiet car. [[Look at out the window|windows]] [[Glare at Assholes in Suits|glare]]You are right. I don't need go to my class today. It is just photography. I am sure Professor Obtusedigit is talking about the midterm project that will be due at the end of the semester. [[Think About the Midterm Project|ProjectThoughts]] [[Don't Think about the Midterm Project|NoProject]]What am I going to take pictures of? Selfies on Instagram, my coffee, or pictures of my lunch? I will name this "Escape from Photography" [[Continue Walking Home|WalkHome]] Not today I am worring about this. I am sure I could take some pictures of leaves and manage to an A in this class. I should spend this day with a nice cup of tea and good book. [[Walk Home|WalkHome]] [[Go to the Cafe|Cafe]] The only respite to my daily trips on the train is the window seat. The view as we snake through the mainline towards Philadelphia is better than candy crush or mindless dribble of Facebook. The rich emeralds of summer transform into gold and rubies. In these moments, where I become lost in the view our passing world, this is the only time I feel happiness. [[Exit Train|30th]]I get in these mean little moods where I hate everything. My face is in a constant flux between disgust and disappointment. I wouldn't say I am a mean person but hold high expectations for society, in which it constantly under preforms. I imagine this is what God must had felt like when Israelites made that golden cafe while Moses was on Sinai. God sent Mose, he preformed miracles, uplifted the Israelites out of the bondage of slavery, for them to turn around and start praying to a cow. You can see what I mean, people are so disappointing. [[Exit Train|30th]] We arive at 30th street about 20 minutes late, officially making me 8 minutes late for class. Thanks, Septa. The becon of world class transportation. Passengers spill out of the train funneling into a single stairwell. The herd forks to a Dunkin Donuts or towards a ramp. As you decend this ramp, the vastness of the main hall of 30th street peaks out. Have you ever just stop to look up? High ceilings, impossing collums, marble detailing, even the railing has tiny Pennsvinyia Rail symbols. An excellent example of a neoclassical revival that is become dwarfed by tall glass skyscrapes. Out of the three main stations in Philadelphia, this is the nicest and least likely to smell like piss. Which is an achievement for SEPTA. Not to say that there is a lack of dodgy people at 30th, just under the threshold of cumulative piss smell. [[Continue Towards Drexel|Walkdrexel]] [[Get a cup of coffee, I mean you already late.|getcoffee]] I live in a small apartment in Ardmore, PA. It is small town on the Mainline, not as hip as maybe Bryn Mawr. But we have a Trader Joe's. I suppose that gives Ardmore an one up. My apartment is part of larger older house. It sits on a slant, I am pretty sure the house is sinking. It has a washed away powder blue colour with a freshly painted black door. Even though I just got up, I am ready to sink back in bed. //Melodies Cafe/ The Melodies Cafe is across the street from the train station. Since I choose not to be burden by class today, I will now burden myself on what to drink. [[Caffè Latte|settledown]] [[House Coffee|nothankyou]] [[Tea|settledown]] 8:00 AM is a brisk time to be outside in the city. The wind seems the funnel between the buildings into cold cutting gusts. Did I say how much I hate Nov? The walk between 30th Street and campus is pretty depressing. Trash litters the side walk, usually clogging the gutters ranging from used condoms, cigarette butts, and leftover food. Maybe the sadness thing I saw tossed aside was a whole left over cheesecake, untouched, and uneaten. Who would abandon a cheesecake? [[Slip into Class|Class1]] (link: "Find Your Closest Cheesecake Factory")[(gotourl: "http://www.thecheesecakefactory.com/locations")]Hell, I am already late. Coffee is needed for all interactions with my peers. It is great to settle down with a warm drink and people watch. The arm chair next to the window that faces the train stop is the best. Just sink in. There is a bookcase across the cafe. Tucked behind two little chairs and table in between. Let us take a [[peak-a-boo.|bookcase]]No, you are not getting the house blend Counter Culture Coffee. Even in a fictional world, I could never allow anyone to have that terrible coffee.
